Meet the Founders

Meagan Kinney

My name is Meagan, I was born in July of 2000. I graduated from West Hempstead High School in 2018 then graduated from Adelphi University with my bachelor’s degree in 2022. In my free time, I love taking pictures. Photography has always been a passion of mine, especially when it comes to taking photos of nature and the outdoors. Whenever I can, I try to go hiking and do other outdoor activities with friends, family, and my dog, Scout.

I have a condition called Treacher Collins Syndrome (TCS) and have had over 20 surgeries. Growing up with (TCS) created significant life challenges for me both socially and physically.  Through it all, this rare condition resulted in a strong and compassionate person. The Tumbleweeds Foundation was created by love, for love and for those to witness the power of love.  I am here to provide a bit of relief, joy and a helping hand.

I am a son, father, brother, husband, uncle, cousin, friend, Stephen Minister and more importantly a disciple of God.  I am the co-owner of Sempre Fame BBQ Restaurant in Floral Park, NY.  Over the past 13 years I have been blessed to be able to use Sempre as the heart and soul of my philanthropy by providing for multiple local charities.
Meagan Kinney entered my life unexpectedly by the grace of God.  One of my life goals was to establish my own Non-Profit to increase my engagement of serving others without boundaries.  This desire manifested my heart the first time Meagan crossed my path.
The day I asked Meagan for my friendship will forever hold a special place for me and all who witnessed this great display of adoration. The day I was commissioned as a Stephen Minister I had gifted Meagan the only crucifix I had of my resting grandmother for over 20 years.  There is a small piece of the cross that was missing.  Meagan Kinney is the missing piece and now we are united as the Co-Founders of the Tumbleweeds Foundation.

With your kind and generous support this story blank canvas will only be filled with glory.
